How ADT Works

Project Management Dashboard

ADT’s dashboard is a central location for tracking and managing all of the components of your project including the process workflow, stage-sensitive user communications, and a real-time snapshot of the number of users at each stage in the process.

User Registration

The first step in any deployment project is to register the users into ADT. For upgrades, you choose users from the Domino directory. For migrations and new deployments, data can be imported via flat files from the existing mail system or from an HR system. This data can also be used to generate user IDs and mail files.

User Inventory Discovery

ADT’s built-in survey capabilities identify your users’ software and hardware configurations. The standard survey can help you identify computers that don’t meet the minimum system requirements and the enhanced survey also provides a complete hardware and software profile of each user’s workstation.

User Training

ADT supports the integration of classroom and computer-based training (CBT) programs. ADT supports CBT products from ReCor, Element K, and TLCC, and can also be easily configured for others or your own. ADT emails the user to participate and then tracks their progress.

Notes Client Deployment

ADT helps you to configure and run automated deployments, even to locked-down workstations. ADT runs silent, interrupt-free, client installations and also enables you to specify any additional programs that you want to run before or after the client installation such as Notes Mover.

Finalizing the Project

In the last stage of upgrade projects, ADT upgrades the user’s mail database to the latest template automatically, off-hours, and only after the new client has been deployed. In the last stage of migration projects, ADT employs data migration tools, like Binary Tree’s CMT, to move the user’s mail to their new mailbox.
