Attention Customers of Wolcott Group’s Automated Deployment Toolkit (ADT) for IBM Lotus Notes®

The United States of America and parts of Canada are extending the period of Daylight Saving Time (DST) beginning in 2007.  From 2007 onward, DST will commence on the second Sunday in March (three weeks earlier than previously) and end on the first Sunday in November (a one week extension).  These changes to daylight savings time are mandated by passage of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

Wolcott Group has analyzed the impact of these changes to daylight savings time to its Automated Deployment Toolkit (ADT) for IBM Lotus Notes® software.  The ADT software is hosted on the IBM Lotus Notes® and Domino® application platform and Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems.  ADT derives its date and time values and DST adjustment settings from the Microsoft Windows® operating system based on configuration settings within the IBM Lotus Notes® and Domino® platform. 

The ADT software does not contain any time-sensitive code or perform computations involving date/time values that would be adversely affected by the daylight savings time change.  The ADT software does produce an activity log that records the date and time of various activities within the product’s defined functionality.  To insure the accuracy and integrity of the activity log data generated by ADT, Wolcott Group recommends that customers adequately prepare their environment for the changes to daylight savings time by complying with the following guidelines developed by IBM and Microsoft respectively.
