Easily manage the contents of multiple Lotus Notes configuration files on a single system.

Rather than hunting down the notes.ini and trying to update it using notepad, Wolcott's Configuration Manager (CM) allows a user to easily view the contents (sorted alphabetically) of any of the notes.ini files on the system, find and modify a particular parameter, print a sorted copy of the file and compare individual or all parameters between the different copies on your system. when viewing the contents of the notes.ini, you can use type-ahead to quickly take you to the parameter you seek. If you see a parameter in the ini file that you do not recognize, CM allows you to access an on-line database (maintained by a third-party) of Notes configuration parameters; with this feature, you can lookup the parameter you do not recognize and even view related parameters.

The Compare feature of CM allows you to select which notes.ini files you wish to compare then browse the parameters, compare all parameters or show only the parameters that differ between the selected configuration files. Compare results can be saved to disk, printed or automatically copied to the clipboard so you can manipulate or analyze the results later.

Developers typically install multiple versions of the Lotus Notes client on their computer systems so they can develop and test applications on multiple clients. There are often times where a developer will want to review the configuration of the different versions or even compare individual parameters between versions. For developers, CM is most useful when you need to verify (view or set) parameters that were modified by an application or process being tested. Administrators and help desk personnel need to be able to view the differences between a configuration that works properly vs. one that does not.
